Elder Gideon

Elder Gideon is an educator, visual artist, and faith leader of a Gnostic community. He's co-authored Gnosis of Guadalupe: A Mystical Path of the Mother with Tau Malachi, his spiritual guide. For over twenty years, Elder Gideon's worked with diverse, often underserved young people everyday, whose stories continually impact his imagination and spirituality. "Iftar Ghazal" and "Quality of Life" come directly from his life as an instructor of high school English confronting intolerance and disparity. He structured these experiences into a chapbook trilogy that section his first poetry manuscript "Without Passage" into meditations on the anthropology, sociology, psychology, and mythology of adolescent development in the absence of initiation rituals. He's an emerging writer who's seeking publication.
