Things you should definitely say to depressed people

Things you should definitely say to depressed people:

Lately i’ve been giving YouTube a try and I feel it’s been a very positive journey to date. I’ve met two wonderful YouTubers so far and I’m sure there are many more to come. I thought I’d take my inspiration to the blog and connect the two. This is mainly why I haven’t posted in a while. I’m coming back though, don’t worry!

For years I have battled with depression and I have came up with a few things I’d probably like other people to say to me when I’m depressed. These aren’t the general snippets people give you which they don’t really mean, the quotes I give mean a lot. Have a watch and see what you think. Feel free to comment and subscribe!

Thanks for watching,

Raymond 🙂

  1. Never thought about it that way before, but I love these suggestions. It takes away the shame or guilt that might come from a few badly placed words. Instead of saying “you need to get out of your house more” say “I’m going out, it would be fun if you could join me.” And that changes the sentence from “you’re a hermit” to “you’re fun and it would improve my evening if you were with me.”

    1. Exactly Jennifer – giving them the option to make their own decisions, and that by deciding to be with us will improve our day is more empowering than you may think 🙂
