In my opinion Match.com is one of the major players in the online dating industry, if not the largest. Match has been around since the beginning; I can remember using this website back in the late 90’s when I was on a voyage of discovery! A lot has changed since then in terms of usability and service though, and for the better. You will read a lot of mixed reviews from people over the web, some good, others great, and some not so good. I don’t like to put a review on the dynamic of people though. If I were to give this website a proper review it would only be on the IT performance; else it would be a review on my own ability to connect with the other sex, aaaand I don’t want to do that!
For starters, why don’t you try it out for yourself? They offer a three day no-obligations free trial and then you’ll be able to sample the goods for yourself, right? I must admit I’ve always liked their format and there have always been plenty of people around for me to talk to. After all, there are over 500,000 singles registered with Match.com the last time I checked. You’ll have more than enough to compensate for your need to interact with the other sex.
Match.com has several features that set it far apart performance wise to other dating websites. If you’re planning on going the whole hog and upping up to a paid subscription there are an awesome selection of paid extras you can use:
- MatchWords: Just like Google you can search for people using specific words. You’ll also get access to the most recently updated Matchword profiles and the most popular used words. Just like doing a Google search – how awesome is that?
- MindFindBind With Dr. Phil: You know Dr Phil from the TV right? Well, if you need a little extra help getting started with finding a partner online, his top notch monthly program will walk you through a lot of the dating basic essentials, from beginner to advanced.
- Match.com: A professional matchmaker of your choosing is available for those of you that just don’t have the time to browse those dating profiles.
Would I personally use Match.com personally to meet someone?
Definitely! In fact Match.com would be the first that I went for; mainly because of it’s extremely large database of singles and Matchwords functionality. I know of no other site that has services to this scale. However, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I’m always up for a discussion 🙂
Match.com is an easy to use, fully stocked, loads of features pioneer of it’s industry. It also makes those meet ups far more easier than they once were. You obviously remember stumbling over the water cooler to talk to the cute secretary at work and making yourself look an ass? No more!
It’s not without its faults though – it doesn’t have IM or any sort of chat, and you can’t contact anyone that’s contacted you if you’re not a bonified straight up paid member, but hey, nowhere is perfect, right? 🙂
If you’re interested in joining match I can give you:
Happy single hunting! 🙂
